The Chinggisid History and Heritage Journal
    Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026)

The inaugural issue of The Chinggisid History and Heritage Journal brings together studies examining the history, political culture, religion, intellectual traditions, and cultural legacy of the Mongol world across Eurasia. The contributions explore subjects ranging from the meaning and ideological significance of the title “Chinggis” and newly identified liturgical texts dedicated to Chinggis Khan, to questions of sacred kingship, political thought, ritual practice, funerary belief, cross-cultural religious exchange, and post-imperial interconnectedness within the Mongol Empire and its successor states. Together, the articles highlight the diversity, complexity, and enduring historical significance of Chinggisid history and heritage across Inner Asia and the wider Eurasian world.
